I have a 2019 Honda Civic Engine Type:2.0L L4 DOHC 16V TURBO I have a 2 part question, first where is the A/Cs Evaporator located. 2nd Question, the reason I ask is because a few months ago my wife and I were on the freeway when the vehicle in front of us hit a large piece of debris which hit the front of my car on the passenger side and also smashed the passage side windshield pretty bad. The insurance paid for the damage except for the deductible of course. A few months later the car needs $1700.00 worth of repair mainly the evaporator which I was told was leaking. Is it possible that the blow my car took to the front of the hood and mainly the windshield could have damaged the radiator??? Has anyone ever heard of anything like this happening?? When they repaired the windshield previously the repair guy said there was a lot of broken glass under and inside the top dashboard: is it possible the that glass damaged the evaporator but the damage didn't reveal itself till later?!!? That's why I need to know which side the evaporator is on the driver side or the passenger side. I want to reopen the insurance claim with my insurance company and possibly get reimbursed for the $1,700.00

there's no way for us to tell through a computer screen.
You are better off asking the shop that did the evaporator to see what type of leak was that and have them tell the insurance
