I drive a 2018 Honda Civic Type R and I have had no transmission issues or glitches in the past. Just today, i turned it on and took off and i can’t shift downward. It seems as though there is something blocking the shifter from getting into 2nd, 4th, 6th, or the reverse gear. I have no idea what could have caused this. It is a gear lockout for every downward gear, and i have no idea what to do. I’ve scheduled an appointment with my local Honda dealership but if there is some kind of explanation i could get beforehand, that’d be great.
