Hi
I've removed the glove box to insert a new cabin filter.
How do I get the slow open damper hook re-connected tp the glove box on re-assembly? (not avaiable on some Civics or not fitted)
I cannot get my hand in to extend the damper as re-assembly requires the glove box tp be partially closed.
A very helpful Honda Uk Service agent says it's a bit tricky and said that it's difficult to explain over the phone although he did go through a procedure.
No special tool is required they say.
The 1st pic shows the assembly and the 2nd where you put your finger in to re-attach it on the pivot


if it comes off.
Any assistance welcoime please!

You need to get your hand in there while the other hand holds up the the glove box. I wear xxl gloves and i can fit my hand in there

Thanks Colin but the space is only 7x7cms !
My hands are XXL and there is no way I can get to the hook.
I tried as a test to attach a long tyrap to extend the damper length, hold it

dimensions:cms
and rotate the assm. but that does not do the trick and any excessive force and the assm. comes off the pivot point so I have to take out all the glovebox, re-attach and start again.
There must be a way?
