glove box removal

2005 civic SI , I am a new Honda owner and my wife scratched my brand new glove box badly. How does it come apart ? And will 2003-2005 all fit the same ?I want to try and find from a wrecker in good shape, the vinyl on the front of mine is screwed now beyond repair. Worst case I want to take it off and get it recovered. But I don't want to break anything geting it off. Some tips would be much appreciated.

i dont know if its like the non-si's...but there are two clips on the inside of the glove box that you have to push into the box from the outside. It's hard to describe, but youll see what i mean when you look at it. open the box about half-way reach into the dash and stick your hand on the outside of the box and push them in. Then there are two screws at either side on the bottom and the whole assembly comes right out.

they're rubber bumpers that not only hold the glove compartment in, but they also keep the compartment from opening too far
