Giving up
Re: Giving up
I got an updated carfax... still no flood incidents reported... just my info added on it. It was leased by a person in Blackwood NJ.
If it was flooded.... being that you need full coverage to lease it..... I’m guessing the insurance company would have known about it and fixed it because why would a person return a leased vehicle and risk them finding the damage when they could have handled it through their insurance? Am I right?
So the odds that it was is involved in a flood is low? How would I prove that I find out? I google “rust on civic” and find it’s a common issue. That’s my only concern right now. Because no lights are on and the car runs finds and the electronics run fine.
I don’t want to get rid of the smell... keep it... and bam... the engine goes out or something because it was involved in a flood and then I can’t even trade it in at that point. Id rather trade it in now if it’s been involved in a flood

Re: Giving up
I did. It was a free consultation through this place called Metlaw. The told me I have to prove it has been in a flood, which is hard to do if the dealer never acknowledged any flood had occurred in their records. Soo with what I said before, why would someone not have an insurance company fix their car if they had full coverage on a leased car if it had been in a flood
