I drive a 2017 hatchback with a rear wiper. I and my neighbor have checked everything we know how to do. Fuse, motor, wiring, everything. The only real problem we could find is that my motor worked on his 2017 Civic's wire but not on mine, however, we tested the wire for mine and it worked perfectly fine on the voltage meter, and read the same in all settings. When plugged in tho it gives no power. I'm thinking either my switch is broken or that it's something in the wiring/pigtail itself. Also, I'm thinking that maybe there's a linkage on the inside that we cannot see that is broken. ALSO, we don't know how the motor itself is receiving the signal to start spinning. We understand the switch makes it go, but there's no fluctuation in current from any of the 3 ports, so maybe it just sends a current when plugged in. Let me know if you or anyone you know can help out, I don't want to go to the dealership.
Here are the wiring diagrams that have the rear wiper control in them. Hope it helps.
Check this thread out, too. I uploaded a link to the service manual there. Should be of some use if you're a DIYer https://www.civicforums.com/forums/2...c-manuals.html
That's where I pulled the wiring diagrams from (69. Electrical Diagrams > Pages 168-170)

so i tried a few things.. me and my neighbor ended up losing the 12V we got from the far right connection due to a spark that happened when testing continuity. now it will not return to home (as it did before) and will not run the motor. i'm starting to think that it is the switch and not the wiring, but now the wiring is toast so.. i don't know what to do. i think it'll just have to be broken
