only start/stop button lights. no other power
only start/stop button lights. no other power
Hoping for some direction here. Had battery replaced by local shop. they told me it would take a few miles for the dash lights to go out. Drove 3 mins home, shut down car, set parking brake. a minute later went back to car and have zero power anywhere (hazards, lights, interior lights, door locks, horn, stereo, parking brake (unfortunately i set it before power died) etc).
battery tested fine (it's literally brand new... 2 miles after install).
any suggestions?
thanks. having it towed in tomorrow

most likely possible:
Squirrel or something did chew your wires (it's common)
wild guesses:
Battery was not really charged
battery cables were not tightened and fell off the poles
something caused a huge short circuit
other than that, not enough information to even guess, unless you opened the hood and inspected
all we can say from provided info is you don't have electrical power. What is the cause? inspect and test

Re: only start/stop button lights. no other power
appreciate the thoughts, although none of them were correct. a fuse was the issue. i had tested the battery (it was fine as i mentioned). i did inspect under the hood when testing the battery. cables were tight, battery was 100%. no evidence of rodent damage. not sure which fuse yet as i haven't picked up the car. What was unusual (to me) was zero electrical power anywhere, except for the start/stop button blinking. it didn't do anything when pressed, but it did blink.
