2016 civic lx stuck in brake maintenance mode

2016 civic lx stuck in brake maintenance mode
As the title says my 2016 civic lx is stuck in brake maintenance mode. I replaced a rear brake calliper and pads on both sides I used a scanner to put the car In brake maintenance mode. When I was done everything I tried to use the scanner to turn of maintenance mode the scanner keeps saying it can’t do it. I had it do something one time but all it did was lock up the back brakes and I had to remove the electronic parking brake motors to get the brakes unstuck. Any and all help/advice/ comments are greatly appreciated.
