Hi everyone,

I have a 2019 civic sport CVT, and when driving normally it pulls off just fine. But when I decide to pull off a bit faster or make a fast speed change from say 70/80mph on the motorway, I will get a quiet ticking noise that with increase in frequency the more the revs build up.

If I ease off the throttle the noise goes away. It is also worsened when accelerating fast up hill.

I think it might be to do with the CVT gearbox, but my knowledge on them is little so I’m a bit stumped.

Any help would be appreciated.

does it follow revs or speed?

Hi mate, it appears to follow revs more than it does speed, it’s quite hard to judge though as it only happens with quicker acceleration.
