Hello all,

My 2018 Civic has been starting slower than normal in recent weeks. Before, it would start in 1-2 seconds on pressing the start button. Now it takes 2-4 seconds. It feels like the engine struggles more to start. Otherwise the car drives normally.
Sometimes after a short time parked (10-15 minutes) the engine fails to start. On pressing the button electronics turn on, the engine “coughs” once but does not start. It starts on a second push.
I was hoping an oil change would fix it (it was time for one) but it didn’t help.
The oil change was done two days ago at a Honda dealership and they didn’t notice anything.
What do you think could be going on?

Battery is shot, it's 5 years old now.
Find one with the longest free replacement warranty (usually costco)
