Engine Won’t Start & Stalls at low speeds.
99 Civic EX Coupe.
This began happening a week ago out of the blue without warning or symptoms after making a 1-hour grocery stop.
Whenever I can’t start, engine still turns over.
When it won’t start, it usually take around a dozen plus tries to start, and usually happens anywhere from minutes to a few hours of turning off the engine, but starts without problem in one try when car has been driven for a day or more.
Engine stalls, and it’s at low speeds every time 15-25 mph when it happens and usually stalls in a succession of a few times shortly after I begin driving. Engine doesn’t sputter, just stalls without warning. Take a dozen tries to restart the engine when it does.
Dash lights do not turn on whenever I can’t start the car. But they do
whenever I can. Every time I see the dash lights when I start, I know the car will start, and vice versa.
Checked Battery and Spark plugs, looked ok. Both were new 2-3 years ago.
Any clues or initial diagnoses? Thanks in advance.
