lit + lcd corolla
have u guys seen that corolla (2 gens ago) with purple under body neon rods, at least 3 lcds, a front neon license plate and tons of "dance" stickers all around?
i was following it yesterday down yonge st. from hwy. 7 to finch station... i was just looking at it funny the whole time...hahaha...103.5 stickers and stuff... but all that to a COROLLA??
the most annoying part was the front neon license plate holder...when he braked, i could see the light from my side mirrors...

I don't see anything wrong with doing up Corollas...
Corollas are to Celicas, whereas Civics are to RSXs. Both tame econobox versions.
Besides, new Corollas out accelerate, out break, and out handle Civics, so there's no reason why not to!
The only cars that shouldn't be souped up, IMO, are Cavaliers, Neons, and Daeoos!

I would much rather soup up a new Corolla than that has-been, old school, drifting Corolla!
And yes, late 80's early 90's Corolla GTS Coupe was absolutely the best looking Corolla ever.. total MR-2 front end... but much sleeker lines and a back that actually looks good! It's definitely up there with Nissan 240SX and Mazda RX-7 Cabriolet for looks-wise!

And I agree, the new corolla's are nicer looking and faster (corolla S), but I still don't like them.

I didn't know someone in your family had owned one, but you have to admit with me, a lot of people like the AE86, and some of the other Japanese cars ONLY because they are popular with magazines and such.
I didn't see any huge cult following when the car was new... only after lots of media exposure, people started to respect them. 99% of people at the time still had their mojos going for stangs and irocs at the time.
It's just like Pokemon cards... a typical craze!
