headlight - clearing

anyone know how to take the orange signaling plate out out from the headlights?
i've seen someon post the instruction (step-by-step) about 4 months ago?

not in detail but here were go.
take off bumper, then headlights, rip them apart, cut silicon glue(if u can't, bake it in the oven to melt it), careful not to touch the chome part of the lense, break the ends off the amber, put back together, reseal with automotive clear silicon,let dry for couple of hours, install back on! this is pretty hard and time consuming, take ur time and do it right because i sure didn't

make sure you seal properly otherwise they can fog up...
i have 2 coats of silicon on mine....no leaks/fogs!

be careful of heating up in the oven though and make sure you know what your doing, i heard of people melting the darn thing.

The orange part is just clipped in. You just pop it out from the back... very simple... it's just held in by lil 'slits.

U gotta be careful....I've seen a headlight housing melt and it's not pretty. But if you keep the temp low (like 200 degrees) it won't be a problem.

Man don't be a p-u-s-s-y, if u have sedan headlights, u have to heat it up, theres no way u can take them apart, i've tried and it impossible. i can clear the headlights in 10mins! if u smell something funky, TAKE IT OUT. hahaha

I cleared out the sedan headlights using just a screwdriver, and a blow dryer. Damn I'm never gonna do that again, pain in the f*ckin @ss!

damn, reading what telly told me and hearing all the htings you guys said about the melting part scares me cuz i've never used the oven in my life. but that's not the problem... i'm just scared i'll melt and fug up the headlights. if i'm gonna get it done, i'll need someone's help for sure. i'm so certain i'll screw up doing it myslef.

In mississauga, is it LEGAL to keep the turn signal color white once we take out the yellow part. Or do we need to purchase a yellow bulb for the turn signal.

even if they are really strict and give u a ticket for it anyways, go to court and show that you changed to the stock / amber bulbs and they'd most likely throw it out...

oh, so the bulb is white? ...
do they sell the amber bulbs? i'll just replace the bulb if i get the plastic amber taken out.

diy clear headlights

check out a local body shop for spare headlights, they have lots with broken brackets, so it junk for them, but free practice for u.

thats how i did mine... riped open the body shop one.

then did mine in 10 mins, really easy.
