yep, had 18"s on for exactly two days and took them off and sold them because i quickly got sick of driving 50kmh searching the ground for potholes or elevated manholes that could possibly damage my rims plus the ride is SOOO f*cking bumpy(quite a difference from 17").

i suppose if you don't care about your rims getting damaged, couldn't care less for ride quality and would like your wheels to look extremely LARGE on the tiny Civic then 18"s are for you. i have a cousin in vancouver that rolls around with 19"s on an acura rl with no regard for his rims. he's driving over potholes large or small and "when i ask him what the f*ck are you doing, you want to dent your rims?" he replys "if they get dented i'll just buy another set, they're just rims." he's already got quite a few curb rashes and a small dent on the lip of one of his rims and they're only 5 months old. it's good to be RICH.

kill your gas mileage
bumpy ride
expensive to maintain
your car will be even slower than a geo metro with 18s on
17s is the max u can put on the civic if u still want to go fast

Unhappy

my chrome 17"s weigh as much and maybe even more than some 18" and my car is slow, slow, slow, on acceleration and it's harder to stop too, you need to brake earlier than normal.
