Watch for these guys if you've taken out your cat or something crazy...they pulled me over in the middle of the day and searched my engine bay for like 10-15 min, checked under my car and asked questions about my throttle body. All i have is an AEM CAI and a crappy exhaust.

Didn't get any tickets so it was cool (AEM CAI is cool), but i'm sure alot of people are gonna get screwed by these guys, so watch out.

It happened in Etobicko by the way, i've never seen these guys in Markham or D-Town area.

Yup, got pulled over by one of those too a couple weeks ago!

To make a long story short... I got pulled over and I said... "yah, what's the problem officer?"

He basically said he's with the Emissions blah blah and that if he and his partner can have a look in my engine bay. I said... what for? He's like... just to make sure all your emission related "things" are properly installed? I'm like, what are you talking about???... the car is new and bone stock... you're wasting your time!!! But he insisted to look anyway... so I popped the hood. I'm telling you... these guys took their sweet as time... meanwhile... I'm getting restless in the car, so I yell out the window... what's taking so long? It's stock... you're wasting my time! What are you looking for?!?! Finally, after like 15 minutes... they're about to drop the hood and I'm like, YO!... set it down gently please! And they did... then they said to be on my way and to have a nice day. Then, just before he walked away... I said... hey, can I ask YOU a question? He's like, sure. I asked him... what's the REAL reason you pulled me over... it's cuz I drive a HONDA, right? He's like... well... uhhh... you know... err... many Honda's on the road are highly modified etc etc... I'm like, okay... whatever... that's what I figured... see yah latah!

Shiet... these guys have nothing better to do! And I had a feeling it was gonna happen to, cuz we were beside each other at a red light and he kept looking, so I stared him and his buddy back... they're not cops... screw them! hahahaha! newayz, yah... like I said, alwayz getting pulled over...!!!

Hahaha... thanks MSoft... but no! My car is stock!!! That's why I don't know what the hell these guys pulled me over for! All I have is the Veloz skirt package, and that's IT!!! All I know is my car was SPARKLING CLEAN that day tho... but that's about it! hahaha! Oh, and there were no other Honda's or nice cars around me! I guess maybe that's why...???

ha same **** happend to my buddy in a 1993 plymouth voyager, he bought a canadian tire tip and bolted it on, the cops in front of school pulled him over and told him to pop his hood, and they did the same inspections :S

Well, if it's CARB exempt they really have no argument at the court that it's not legal. Cali has the harshest emission standards, and if a ULEV car has a CARB exempt intake it is at least LEV.

Worst they can do is send us to emission early.

so if i have a non-carb excempt intake, header, or whatever, will they care?

and since my K&N FIPK doesn't have a CARB sticker (but this intake's carbexcempt right?), can they force me into taking emissions?

are there any laws on aftermarket parts in ontario? can anyone provide a link? or general guideline?

I'm pretty sure the FIPK is carb legal...it was funny all these hopped up cars driving by, slowing down...outta all the cars they had to pick on it was me...and my car is pretty much stock too especailly compared to the cars that drove by while i was pulled over.

the only thing they're realy lookin gor is nitrous, and to see if you have one of those mini filters on your cai or sai. they also check for your cat if they feel like it. waste of time when people are robbin and stealin. damn cops nuttin better to do

air breathers connect to the engine so you dont need hte hose but i wouldn recommend it because you get ticketed for it
