BTW... I don't work this weekend so I'll be at the meet on Saturday.
Oh, just thought I'd let you guys know that there is another Civic around town with a Xenon Kit. Now that makes 3 of us
He's got a Red civic, lowered, rims, and exhaust. His ride looks good.

Big, you're picking up that stuff from GuSTo and BJAI right? But what are you picking up from Pacific mall?

Just for fun though... go take a quick walk through the mall. It's crazy... that and you'll probably be the only white guy in there.
BTW... not to rush but when are we getting our LAC membership cards? I need a 12" subwoofer box and I wouldn't mind picking one up from Powerstation if I can get a good deal on it.

i'll be there on saturday... i'll have to wash my car first
R1, boxes can be pretty expensive (if you get a good one), but they are really important to get right... i would recommend not going cheap on it
my audio setup is pretty crazy right now.. 3 subs, a trunk full of boxes, and im making full use of my surfboard size amp
lol (it draws about 100amps when the bass hits.. my lights almost go out.. lol)
any of you guys had to get your alternators replaced?? (cause i think mine is going to die) any ideas of how much it might cost for a good aftermarket alt?
and i cant believe all you guys have the xenon kit... lol

Roughly how much do you think a single 12" box will cost me? Sealed and carpeted?
Also... does anyone know where I can buy the materials to make a box (wood, glue, nails, etc...) ? I wouldn't mind trying to make my own.

a sealed box from the powerstation will cost something around 50-75
my ported, alpine made, 10" opening, box cost me 150
my suggestion: check out forest city surplus.. i wouldnt buy their audio electronics.. but their wire is cheap, and a box is a box (you'll probably find the cheapest boxes there)
if you're building a sealed box, it shouldnt be too hard... and you can get everything you need from home depot (or any hardware store)
you can check the DIY section, i think it may have a 'how to build a box' thing

Yeah I looked into it and I know what materials we'll need. I'll pick up the stuff myself then we can start.
Here's the fun part though... if you're willing too... I wanna try and make a custom box so it fits in the corner (right behind the tail lights) of the trunk. There's a DIY on this forum but I can't really understand it so I'll take the measurements myself... then we can go from there.
BTW... did you call that guy about the Goldlines?

Hey Big, do you think you can e-mail me some pics of our rides from Saturday, and some pics of my ride from before? I want to post a few. Unless you post them.

so.. i hear a strange creeking noise coming from the right rear wheel
it happens once every rotation.. so i figure it could be a wheel baring or something
nope... i go and check.. it was the sound of my bolts stressing (or i should say bolt) and the wheel slipping... since some of the lugs had come a little loose
my wheel was ready to fall off!!!!
conclusion... OEM lugs SUCK! they only grab one or two threads, so they came loose pretty easily... get tuner lugs!!
(oh... and BTW APRboy: just for fun i decided to take my spacers out.. and there is really no rubbing going on with them off.. so i think i'll leave em like that)
just thought i'd mention it to you guys incase you decided to go cheap (like me) and try to use the OEM lugs... unless you can get it threaded in really well.. get some better lugs
EDIT: phew, im lucky one of my rims didnt go flying on the 401 when we were doing about 150 R1!!! that would've been bad!

**** guy.... good thing you caught the problem before something bad happend. Holy that would suck *** if your wheel went flying off.
Oh and good thing you decided to check it out rather then take it straight to the dealership. I bet they would have came up with some bullshit excuse about something being wrong then charge you a **** load for nothing.

That's good to hear Falcon. I know they rubbed on the inside of my sedan but maybe the coupes have more space in the rear. Come to the meet on Saturday. I wanna see them.
