What adhesive to use?

Dash kit part around shifter came loose (stupid 3M tape), so just took it off altogether... What should I use to re-stick it to the plastic trim? I don't want to use something that's so strong it will eat into the plastic trim of the car, and it needs to be something that bonds to the 3M tape as well...

I was thinking of rubber cement, like those that is used for plastic/plastic bonding... Or do you guys have better suggestion?

damn.. 3M stickers are stupid strong guy. You just gotta clean the crap out of the surface before you stick it... i had a little dinky cell phone holder thingie with 3M sticker on my old car, and i couldn't get it off if my life depended on it. eventually had to sell the car with it..

i guess you could glue it on.. you know, perminant ****.. dont know what its called.. but im sure its out there

use one of them marine glues... the ones they use that's water proof. You can get one of them at a LeBaron store or something. They're crazy strong and I don't think they eat through plastic and ****.

you could try using Goop or Marine Goop...... it's strong enough to keep everything in place, won't eat through the plastic, and is relatively easy to remove when wanted......... i know a buddy of mine used that to put his interior trim on when the original tape fell off.....
