favorite adhesive removers? *searched*

Ok, well I removed my pinstripe a while back. Thought I got all the adhesive off with washing liquid. I'm a moron.
It's still there, just hard to see. Is regular goof off safe for our cars?? Or is it a specific product from them? It says on their site that

"Goof Off is also excellent for cleaning spray equipment, removing paint and tar from automobiles..."

that kind of worries me!

Also, any brands of adhesive removers to avoid (i.e. damaging to paint/clearcoats?)

I saw these in wal-mart:

Gunk Bug and Tar ($2-3)
3M adhesive remover
Mothers clay bar ($11-12)
Meguiars cleaner wax ($4-5)

Thanks!

3m works good and best of all its clearcoat safe! I've also used it on my guitar and snowboard to remove stupid stickers!

Goto Home Depot and pick up AftaLeyne. It works wonders. Can be used on interior, exterior anywhere. It removes, gum, blood, tar anything....just make sure to wax after or clean with water and soap and then trat any plastics or vinyl you put it on
