well the JBL will only put out 600Wrms into this sub because it's a single 4ohm..but it'll thump nicely... The sub can easily take 1000Wrms for music.. it can take 500Wrms for 24 hours with a sine wave played at it's Fs in a 1.5 cu.ft enclosure It have a 3" voice coil

Shipping to you would be about $5 more so it's no problem..How much power does the Clarion put out at 4ohm mono??.. anything more than 500 is great..

1.25 is a little small..you'll lose most low end extension..the sub is quite picky.. in 1.8 it started to get a little fluttery..in 1.3 I had no low end..in 1.5 it was just right ...

I can't sell it without the box because I'll never have the need for a 15" sub enclosure again

Still 600 watts is plenty to get it moving....I was running it about 400 even and it thumped pretty good..

I think that Clarion amp should put out between 500-750. they're apparently underrated. but 500 for sure.

Actually, come to think of it. that's a 4 ohm SVC, i could try running it with my ole phoenix gold amp. and save my self some dollars. think it would go alright with 500?

the sub would do quite good with 500..it bumoped nice with 400.. Don't expect to win any SPL competitions though..the sub is a little power hungry..a good 1000Wrs will make it outright violent though..

so mohawk. the big question is.... should i be buying your sub, and using my current amp? or should i be getting that enclosure built for my car (150 for the plexi enclosure, with MDF bottom, etc) and buying that Clarion amp, then using my phoenix Gold amp with the gain turned almost all the way down to power my Components?

Both these options cost about the same amount of money.

well..that's really entirely up to you. putting too much power to componnets isn't necessarily a bad thing..your pretty much guaranteed distortion free sound... the Eclipse I'm selling is a big power hungry..but sounds very nice and offers some crazy impact with kickdrums...feeding it less than 500Wrms isn't really reccomended because the subs needs a fair bit of power to move...
