When will you switch your rims off?

When (if not already) are people taking off their rims and summer tires and putting their winter wheels & tires back on?

I got a new set of Winter tires on my stock rims a few weeks ago, still sitting in the garage, not sure when I should put them on. Don't want to put them on too early and have them wear unneccesarily on the other hand I don't want to end up driving on the snow with my summer tires & rims.

I'm thinking to do the same thing, this weekend or early next week. Where I bought them the guy told me he wouldn't put them on till the first week of December, but I don't know if he realized the tires I have on my car are designed for summer driving only.
