OT: Layth the Smackith Down on a Bimmer
Went out for a quick cruise in my brother's ride again tonight.. Celica GT.. got revved on by a '90ish BMW 325i. You know, the mini sized ones. We went at it while going about 40km/h, and he pulled on me.. definitely torque advantage. Then he got all cocky and screams at the light "LET'S GO! LET'S GO!"...
Oookay... so I revved to about 4,500rpm, and dropped it... we were dead even for a quick second, and then I pulled 1/2 car lengh on him. And then eventually a full car length... were doing about 130km/h, then he gave up. We raced two more times... all same results.
325s ain't sheit

He was actually with me when the racing happened.... but it's not a GTS, just a GT. GTS is 180hp, but like VTEC Hondas, its very peaky powerband. You gotta drive it like you stole it. Whereas GT just has VVT-i (opposed to VVTL-i), so it's a nice flat powerband and pulls a lot harder than the GTS in the lower RPM range. When driven hard, GTS is still faster, but GT is more satisfying to drive in and out everyday.
But yeah man, racing is quite the thrill.. in fact, in Hamilton, there's a TON of races. The two main roads are both one way, and multi-lanes, so it's perfect. Looks really don't matter here.. it's all go and no show. Still a ton of American cars though, like Stangs 'n sheit.
I been racing the Celica cause it's a lot quicker than my car.. I mean, my Civic's just an auto, plus 27lb Motegi rims don't exactly help it either. When I didn't have rims, I raced it a little bit.. I would actually beat a lot of stick 5th & 6th Gen Civics!! I even raced my friend's 7th Gen Si, and I beat him... lol.. tells you how badly people shift these days. As for the Celica, it continues to impress me performance-wise. I think it should be able to do about 15.7-15.8ish 1/4mile.

Serves 'em Bimmers right. Can't be dissing us Japanese imports just becoz they're more expensive.
But I'd like to own a 325 Coupe for my next car, anyway, just for the name.

Man, there's nobody to race in London. I manage to find a race like once or twice a week tops, and I'm always on the lookout for potential racers (Blue headlights, loud mufflers etc.) I raced two chicks in a mazda MX-6 last night (I won of course) but it just wasn't the same as kicking some punk's *** who thinks he's the shiet in his ricer mobile.
THAT IS such a TTTTTTUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRNNNNNNNNNNN OOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNN....... chick drivers..... aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh...... espeically driving stick....... hahaha... no no no.. not a car's stick... but something else.
