Will this intake fit?

This intake is for a 2000 lx model. Can I get it to fit an si with a simple cut? I was looking at someones tezo R intake at the D&B meet and he said its from a 2000lx with a cut made. (sorry can't remember your name)

The reason why I'm asking is 'cause it works out to about $65 + shipping from montreal.

What about the cut? Do you have to make a cut?

edit ---- yes, you have to cut it, just enough to fit the filter and that's all folks.

no need for cutting. why cut? just kinda angle it a little down. so the hood closes n make sure u buy some zip ties so that it holds the intake in place
any one can install it
just have to be serious bout it. dont do a crap job or else u gonna end up paying for it!

Yes, You must cut the pipe, but it's a clean fit afterwards.

Cool, I won it at $38.95 USD. Once I get this on I'll get some pics up. Any tips on how to have it mount securely? I don't want it to bounce off. Also, is it common knowledge that a 2000lx model intake can fit? Or is this a can east secret?

How did you guys get the airflow sensor to fit? The airflow sensor cord is too short to reach. Is there an extension I can get? Or should I just cut the connector off and solder in some wire.

And did you have to cut at the throttle body end of the intake? It doesn't seem to fit that well 'cause its too high and hits the hood.

Help!???????
