how do you know when to change the timing belt, water pump, and gasket?
you never really know when to change it because every car is different but i'd go with what the owners manual says and replace it every 160,000km
If the belt snaps, your motor is screwed.

Funny though, a timing belt replacement can cost up to $500 bucks.
You can get a motor from a junker for that much, probably with lower milage.
If anyone needs a timing belt replacement deal let me know, I'm going to this guy soon and I'll post the results.
