Well, I'm going to try what Gearbox suggested. I'll let you know how it goes. I've noticed the same issue with the slime on my windshield at times. I attribute that to the car wash soap at my part time job which contains wax. Yeah, I know, it's probably not good for my car. I'll get my own and start bringing it with me eventually. Could be you're having the same issue??

Couldn't find any glass striper at Canadian Tire... only usual cleaning stuff, anybody around Toronto see this stuff for sale somewhere?

The young guy behind the counter at C-tire took me over to another isle completely and started telling me to use Acetone on the glass...
he mentioned it would destory my paint if I missed the glass...
would Acetone work to remove the 'slime' ?
the whole windshield is slimmy, not just a few areas it seems

i bet the old owner never cleaned...

On a high note, I got the Squash air freshener in + installed today in my 05...
