Car Alarm/Question/Discussion

Posted: Mon Nov 29, 2004 12:37 am Post subject: Car Alarm Discussion/Opinion

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have done a lot of research on this topic and now i am feeling a little overwhelmed. I really need some advice and clarification. There are a lot of people telling me a lot of different things. Basically i am looking for a 2 way FM thing. A few details:

I am never more then 1 wall and 50-100 feet away from my car. I am fortunate my work and residential provides me with this luxury. I would guess that i go to a mall less then twice a year and have another car to travel there and to any other 'Places.'

I want this for 'peace of mind' and do not mind paying a few hundred extra for special features. Its for my 2005 Accord.

A few of the ones i am looking at;

http://www.asianwolf.com/5100rs/8000RS_Deluxe.html
http://www.compustar.org/products/2WSS_security.html
and the Viper one.

I am leaning towards the Compustar, its got a nice 2 way.

PLEASE HELP ME.

Thanks,

I'm in the same boat as you, looking for a good alarm/starter, prefferable two-way since i am away alot from my car when im at school, plus also looking for a reputable places in mississauga that can do the install aswell. Drop me a pm if you know of any good deals or shops around. And i'll do the same.

Speak to the owner Jeff, His guys are very knowledgable and you can trust them with your car

BTW the SS is kind of overkill IMO. The FM works just fine, saves you a few bucks too.

I have the compustar fm alarm and it works great. Got it installed at Lockdown Security. You can check out the group buy sections on www.torontocivics.com cuz Lockdown and Audio Heavan have speacials on it all the time.
