407 transponder
407 transponder
Hi guys this is for toronto-north area memebers,
I was wondering where have u mounted the 407 transponder in your car.
407 folks recommend to stick the transponder behind the front view mirror and i think that wud really look ugly. Isnt there someplace else in the car where it cud be readable to transmitters as well be discreet.
any suggestions,
thanks,
Vic

I put mine behind the rear-view mirror. But when I go in my friends car his just sits where the e-brake is and he has no problems. So I suggest u find a place that u like and see if it beeps when u get off the highway and if it does u should be fine.
mines in the shyt bin under my deck..
reach in and grab it when i'm on or off the hwy..
and that's only when i use Trafalgar Road cuz the sensors suck there..
so normally i just leave it where it sits..
note too..if ya ever get hit with a "pic" charge just call them up and bitch..say yer transponder never leaves your car and it IS mounted as per their instructions..
the few times i've gotten the extra charge i just called up and the extras were dropped.....like i said tho, the only time i have it NOT go off is when i use Trafalgar..

i save 20-30mins each day/one-way by taking the toll expressway. im not too happy to pay for driving on the expressway which was intially funded by us for us...but i dont have much choice.
