Got pulled over by OPP in my old car....
I used to have a '93 civic si (canada)...it was a fat ride ill post a pic, anyways i sold it to my friend when I bought my 2002 honda civic si coupe. Today i was with him and we got onto the 407 Highway, which is a highway that takes a picture of your plate if you do not have a transponder in your front windshield...so my friend doesn't have this transponder so theres a little secret that if you go on the side then it cant take a picture of your whole license plate, so he pulled all the way to the side of on ramp while passing through the part that takes a picture of your rear license plate. then he starts ripping it on the straight away trying to get into to traffic after hitting about 140 km/h, he began to chill out (what you should know is this car is very loud, full exhaust, cold air, headers) and at 5000 rpm, my mechanic advanced my timing and it started to pull and it would open up almost like a DOHC VTEC engine. Out of nowhere he brakes and he goes, "oh sh*t theres a cop behind us" I look back and i see an OPP Cruiser (Ontario Police) not just some regional police...they are known to be very strict...
Anyways we are in the far right lane, and this cop is in the far left lane, so there is one lane between us, he comes all the way across to the right, and goes in front of us, then he signals over to the right (which is the paved shoulder, not a lane) and he pulls over, lets us pass and comes behind us, then he comes on our a$s, and flashes his lights... there were actually two cops, one guy comes to my window and just stands there, i wasn;t nervous at all coz i wasnt the one driving, i was just sitting there eating my WENDY's burger, and with a whole sh*tload of food in my mouth, i managed to muffle out, "wattthhzzup". He said nothin much, and then the other cop came to my friends window, and he began asking whats the rush, where are you heading, we told him to a mechanic (we really were) and hes like "Ohhh, gonna add some more horsepower to this baby" and we were just going for an oil change really...it was just funny, he then just told us to chill out, and not to drive fast and have a great day!
I just thought id share, its funny coz its my old car, (i know its al ong story) but i had to give all the details...

That's awsome! There's some pretty good Canuck cops out there. Once I was driving in the snow and I lost control and ended up in a ditch and the cop called a tow truck for me to help me get out.
lol the radio stations (well one of them) has a po po lookout where listeners call in when they see a cop out with his laser or radar dector. works pertty darn good saved me a few times
I was thinking about volunteering for motorcycle detail for overtime, but the department has real ugly bikes and I would probably be expected to have more activity. I currently drive any type of car (regular, unmarked or slicktop) and would have to say that I probably let 50% of the people I encounter go, and write up something for the other half.

I dont think I have ever run into a cop that was a *****. Sure I have heard this one's and idiot and that one is just out to get ya'. But most of the time they are easy to deal with and just doing their job, I got a ticket one time for speeding, sure I was pissed but im not going to blame the officer for enforcing the rules.
Even when I rolled my car, I had an off duty RCMP officer help me call the police and get a tow truck because I was quite nervous, and then when the police came they were really good about the whole thing and helped me alot.
So hats off to the officers out there .............

Ya know cops aren't all that bad actually. Strangely enough, just yesterday while turning onto an onramp to the highway i pulled up going 80km/h in a 40km/h onramp and right when i hit the bend, i see two cops in the middle of the road with their cruisers on the side - i slammed on my brakes and slow down to a crawl, but alas was too late. One of the cops walked up to me and asked for my license and registration and i'm thinking, oh sh|t, there goes $175. And the cop just stares at my car a few times and goes, slow down a bit EH? Try'n to save you some money. Cya.
I guesss you just gotta be really polite to the officer and say you're sorry and hope for the best
