Sidemarker install/purchase?

Hey everyone,

Does anyone know where I can get sidemarkers installed around the GTA area for cheap?

I'm in the process of looking for JDM replica sidemarkers, so if anyone knows where I can get that let me know too!

Thanks!

I got mine for $30 and installed for $60. Cockpit in mississauga. (Don't let them rip you off, they will ask $60 for sidemarkers, and probably 80$ for installation.. tell them you know someone who got it for what i told you...)

Wow, I would do it for lunch or something if you were around Illinois. Don't let them charge you that much. It should only take an hour if they know what they're doing.

I'm going to speedtech tomorrow to check out what they have.

I know how the JDM sidemarkers look like, so I'll find something very similar to it.

Is speedtech a good place to get them installed? Or should I go somewhere else?

Cockpit is at highway 5 and winston chruchill.
Yeah it shold be an hour of labour to install. THey might tell you it depends on the type of car, but tell them that civics are easy to figure out (they install a lot on civics so they know how and it is pretty easy to get to the headlight wires)

That's a very decent price, from what I know....

You think they would charge more to install a relay, so the lights stay on with the parking lights, and alternate flashing with your signals??

I hope they were nice enough to either help you apply some touchup paint or let you do it yourself, to prevent rusting.... This sounds good, I wanna do mine too now! I want some A4-style "embedded" LED ones...

I went to Cockpit cause I wasn't able to find a relay at Crappy Tire one day. I went in and said "I know you guys don't sell them separately but could I buy a relay off you? I need one asap." The guy called his boss out, who told me $25. I'm like WTF, they're only 5-10, he said "Well if you want it so bad, you're gonna pay me $25". ****in crooks. I bet if you ask for relay to get wired in, it'll get super pricey.

Telly, I smell another mod that you can start doing on a regular basis besides your dash LED and headlight clearing/blacking mods

I TRUST TELLY! Now hook me up sidemarkers on my car

Whoah whoah whoah!!!!! I know how to measure it, I know how to splice it, I know how to cut and fit it, but I don't think there's any way in HELL you can get me to drill and dremel your fenders! I'm too chickenshit to do that to anyone's ride but my own! I'll help you right up until the cuttin...

LOL!

Yeah I don't have the guts to do that **** either... I was hoping you could do it, and if you F'd it up I could blame it on you and you can get me new fenders lol j/j.

Well I'm off to Speedtech and Top Notch Auto (all around the Midland/Finch area) to see what they got for prices and selection. Wish me luck...

Maybe I should carry around a stack of release forms for people to sign before I do their cars.

Well, after coming back from Top Notch Auto (Midland & Pacific Mall), all the car stores in Pac Mall, and Speedtech... I found nothing. No one was selling the sidemarkers I want. But here's some info...

Top Notch was charging $120 JUST for the labour alone.

Speedtech will only install sidemarkers that doesn't require a lot of cutting of the fender (they will only cut a small hole just for the bulb and wires, they will not cut a hole for a sidemarker that requires the hole to be the size of the actual sidemarker).

So right now I'm lost, I'd rather just find the sidemarkers I want, and pay someone to install them for me.

Any suggestions?

I think it would be a good idea to go to scrap yard and see if you can get your hands on a 2003 SiR's sidemarkers. I think those look sweet.

Do any shops around T.O. sell JDM side markers? I got a friend who's willing to do the install, I just have to find the markers. Even replica ones will do.

They look like these,
