has anybody done it?

if so.. where did you get your material? and how much did you get at what cost?

im thinking of only doing the trunk for now to better my sub quality... minus the damn chessy vibration.. i may end up doing the whole interior as well, including the floor.

post if you have any knowledge of it as well
Thanks

I got my Dynamat done here in barrie...just the trunk alone cost $250-300 including 3 hours labour. Fatmat is cheaper but have heard that it doesn't stay stuck as well and smells horrible but is easier to work with if you're doing it yourself.

I did my trunk in B-Quiet Xtreme...trunk lid too (gotta cover THAT with something). Cost me $100 for materials and a whole afternoon with that stupid tiny roller thing that eventually broke on me.
I did it in summer with my shirt off, and the sun reflected off the foil stuff and burned me. I was red as a lobster. But my bass is tighter!

i got dynamat in my trunk. It cost me around 200 for the trunk kit, and i did it myself....sticks really really well, but still kinda expensive. It also adds some weight nicely to ur trunk. Either way do it urself when u buy it...not very hard, just gotta be creative. Good luck

They are a bit heavy, but that's what gives better results. Dynamat is by far the best because it sticks forever and doesn't smell at all. I have mostly dynamat in all four doors, rear deck lid, and trunk. Got a little piece of brown bread on the floor. Carpet foam is also good for the floor. It's very light and reduces noise quite well.

Check out www.carmedia1.com for dynamat

for everything else, check out www.b-quiet.com

no smell is definitely a good quality. and if it really sticks.

im gonna be doing the trunk, and the whole interior, pretty much what gearbox mentioned.

but i'll prolly just stick with one product to use.. instead of mixing for the floor

gearbox: thx for the links

up above:
you guys spent 100 to 200 for just the materials..... did you guys have any left over after you guys did the trunk? if not.. then im gonna hella spend toooooooooooooo much money for more materials if im going to do the whole interior.

sigh.......

i did my lid with fatmar, sticking perfectly, just make sure u use a heat gun or something, i also did most of my trunk with fatmat, reduced rattle alot, but i need more, so i jusr order some B-quite extreme for like 50 bucks, and that should do the trick. Dynomat is way to expensive.

I am also going to do my rear deck, cause that is the only major thing left that rattles

it gets expensive, so expect to spend a few hundred easy. Just do the work yourself or it's not worth it.

Brown bread is by far the best. I had Dynomat in my previous car when i was running 2 12" Cerwin Vega HED series with an Alpine V12. Nothing too crazy, but powerful. I was not impressed at all with the Dynomat. Spent 300 on that shiznit, and my trunk still rattled like crazy. Now on my civic, i have 2 12" Cerwin Vega Vega series (crazy *** SPL subs!) with a bigger V12, with 150 in brown bread, and it makes a huuuuge difference. Still get some vibrations but you can never expect it all to go away with a big system. I'll stick to the brown bread. Makes the car so much quieter inside too.
