I would have been turboed in April but I am STILL missing parts from my SF kit. supposedly everything was shipped a couple days ago and should be in transit; however, I will not have the TIME to install the kit at least until september
it makes me sick knowing I have $4000 worth of parts just lying around that can't be put to good use for months.
as far as laws, I'm not concerned. are cars are already ULEV.. even with a turbo it should still pass emissions testing. I am also going to make a closed-circuit PCV system, that should help.

no emissiosn test? I live in VA, and every 2 years the DMV requires you to take an emissions test. that's what that sticker is for on your windshield with the month/year.

yep...i gotta do that too(emissions)
maybe u mean like a visual inspection (like California has...i think)
i'm thinking of boosting...but i'm still not sure cuz i wouldn't want to have to remove everything to pass emissions. but as mex said....we are ULEV so it shouldn't really affect us.

yep...i just found out that they do a visual inspection...but the main things they look for are the cat...and anything bad with the exaust(holes or something).
i have an lx....bc the way the cat is...would i have to buy a highflow cat and exaust if i want a turbo kit(for the sake of argument...an SF kit).

I dont think u'll pass the emission.. because you have to replace the cat when you turbo up and that would mean bad results from a the smog tests. I know because i was at a shop where this 1999 civic failed because of turbo

Hey mex you live in PW county and it's every two years? Hell I'm one county over in Fauquier and they make us get a SAFETY inspection every year. As far as I know, we don't have emissions inspections in this county.

yeah, we get the safety vehicle inspection every year, but every other year, we have to do a visual inspection AND emissions inspection. I suppose it could be a PWC thing, but the emissions form is mailed from the DMV. I passed the visual inspectin with my turbo, now next december I need to pass emissions
