Redline K24? (new accord 4cyl)

Can anyone tell me where the K24 redlines at? Looking at purchasing an EX 4banger in the near future, just curious what it redlines at. Thanks

hmm tad low, this engine seems to get a lot more low end power from the dyno's ive seen. I guess you wont have to rev the **** out of them to get some power like the D17s in our 7th gens.

There is an EX 4 cyl, the V6 is an option for both the EX and LX. The redline for the engine is 6800 or somewhere close I believe.

Unless they totally revamped the lineup for 2003, the V6 is a separate trim from the DX, LX, and EX. Meaning that all of the X's are 4-cylinder engines.

htown.. they did totally change the lineup for '03. Here are all the models.

DX (sedan only), LX, EX, Ex w/ leather, LX V6, EX with Leather and Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System™ , and finally EX V6

My wife has a 2003 CR-V EX with the K24, and while I'm too lazy to look up the actually redline, it is a tad over 6k. However, I can tell you from driving experience as well as posts on TOV that the K24s strong point is NOT high rpm power. It is quite the opposite. The engine feels like it has way more low-end torque than any other Honda engine I have driven, or owned, including a 2002 Accord V6 coupe. Up above 5k, the K24 gets a little wheezy. In other words, Honda designed this engine for what the demos say most Americans' want, more down low power and a better feel off the line, which would be the opposite of most other Honda engines. That being said, I love driving my wife's CR-V! It pulls like a small V6 off the line, quite unlike my Civic.

the dx, lx and ex base all have the same k24 engine producing the same numbers, the lx and the ex both come in v6, altho im not sure what is different about the trim levels, i know that only the ex v6 comes in leather, and only the ex has the moonroof
