Why do I keep owning modded civics with my matrix? I've seen negative comments on these vehicles but they seem to spank civics fairly easily. LIFT, bubye civic lol. When the supercharger comes out for these It's gonna be rough on you guys. I was just curious if any of you have been beat by the so called "grocery getter" yet?

Define "modded" Civics. I'd say 99% of the modded Civics on the streets are owned by people that don't know crap about serious engine modifications and are probably only equipped with an aftermarket intake, muffler, and header...at best. Once you meet up with a real modded Civic...oh wtf am I even discussing this with you for? You obviously just came here for a fight. Shut up and go get me some groceries.

actually i'd say 99% of "modded" civics on the street are cover with APC crap w/ no engine modifications other than NNNAAAWWWWWZZZZ stickers.

What would be "serious engine modifications" to you then? Put the exact same mods on the matrix and it's Buhbye Civic. All I have to say is:

Realy, the matrix is made be faster then the civic. Toyota is targeting the same market as the sedan. Honda dosen't care as long as they sell more civic then matrixes. Honda is only looking to s2000 and the Accord to be quick. Thats why they do not sell type-r hB over here. But another topic I will leave for later.......

7thgen aren't made to be fast. The way honda setup the emissions makes even harder pull out any power. In the end your car will be faster and we'll have a better resale. Its all about give and take

only the xrs matrix is faster than the civic ... but it's not "slightly faster" ... it's 0-60 is about as quick as a 6th gen si.

Doesnt bother me honestly because I dont race my car. Its a civic and its not made to be fast. Im just saying that the Matrix is an ugly *** car so I would rather drive a good looking car thats slow.

I don't think the matrix looks that bad. And I'd rather be driving a decent looking car that's quick rather than a slow "good looking" car.

This is supposed to be a serious question? The Matrix is a heavier and less aerodynamic version of the Celica. The drivetrains are the exact same between the two cars.

Try racing some similar vehicles (RSX base, RSX-S) before you brag about owning all other vehicles on the road.

Who cares if you can own riced up civics, try racing catalyst or someone with a civic with horsepower in your range. Sounds to me like you're mad that people make fun of the way your station wagon looks. My mom owns a Vibe and I love that car...Really versatile. Auto though But to answer your question, you keep owning Civics because your car is faster...thats why. And I haven't raced any Civics/Vibes yet, but my mom's auto actually feels slower than my 5-spd.
