That sucks. Of course Oregon is working on a bill (governer needs to sign it) that would allow 8 interesections per city>30000 people to have red light cameras (who do you figure will pay for the cameras?). They say the red light cameras do reduce the number of light runners, but there is the kicker... if you don't run the light, you don't get a ticket, and the state gets no revenue which would go to offset the cost of the cameras...

Its kind of like that thing about if a tree falls in the woods, does it make a sound if no one hears it?

just got my new insurance rates yesterday

23 male
massachusetts
over 15,000mi a year
2k2 civic ex cpe
500 deductible
$74 a month
roughly $890 a year
fully insured
(commerce insurance)

no accidents, no tix,

last year i was paying $122 a month around $1460. so naturally i was rather pleased when i saw my new rates

1 major accident- my fault- totalled one car and 10k on another at 16 yrs old...
now 19, still 320/month...
will go lower once i get good student discount and my accident is taken off the record this yr!!! yay.

edit: no one will let me change insurance companies, im pissed cuz my accident, im gonna get usaa soon tho.
