$70 per month, $423 for 6 months. And this is actually more than I paid for my WRX wagon that I recently sold...
The biggest thing people should note here is that age is a HUGE factor, as is location.
my age: 28/M... Location, just outside of Portland Oregon.

Insurance does suck if you're young. However, it's a game like any other. You can call around for the best rates. It helps if you've had insurance for over a year but most companies don't really check. I've done a lot of research regarding insurance so just some friendly advice for all you high payers.
1) When asked if you've had previous insurance, it counts if you've been listed on your parents policy.
2) Take advantage of all the discounts offered including: Theft devices, Alarms, Good Student, Airbags. Just ask them to list it and take advantage of the ones you have.
3) Shop around and move from company to company. It's true that you can brand loyalty but usually after 1 - 2 years. However, switching companies usually nets you a 10 - 20 % discount.
4) If you get a ticket, don't tell your insurance company. You aren't required to do so and they only check during renewal time. Some companies only check once a year.
5) Insure the car in cheap locations if you live somewhere expensive ( Brooklyn, Bronx). It's not insurance fraud because where you live does not have to be where the car is insured. I insure my car at school in bumble f**k and its a lot cheaper.
That's all the advice for now, gotta get back to finals studying.
I'm 21, 2001 Black Civic, One ticket. Paying $1260/ year with geico. Before I turned 21, it was $2800/year.
Of course, the older you are, the older your car, the cheaper your insurance. Most important thing is to do research, especially if money is important to you.

1 60/40 accident (my fault)
1 speeding ticket
$500 deductible on comprehensive and collision
$6895/year
it's a good thing I don't really pay that
.....I'm listed as primary on my dad's 92 Explorer with liability I pay $3400 a year, my dad is primary on my GS-R and he is paying 1700 a year...unfortunately i pay for both insurances so I'm still paying a good $5100 a year but I'm still saving 1700
