There's no point in getting an EX. You only get a few hp(115-127). The new Corolla's are ugly. If you want to "upgrade", I'd get an SI(115-160).

I would upgrade. I love my ex. It would be worth it to me. Sunroof, vtec, hp, etc.............

Ok, so let's play hypothetical scenario here...

Assume his LX sedan is worth about 9k on trade in, maybe 10-10.5 on the open market, and a new EX will cost him 15500-16000...

5k for a sunroof and ABS and a whopping 10hp...

I dunno, I guess to me 5k is far more precious than a silly sunroof and no real power gain. Personally, I'd take that 5k and use it in 3-4 years as a nice downpayment on a better car... Nothing wrong with an EX mind you, but it would have been MUCH better to have bought one from the start...
