I have a 2003 Civic EX 5-speed coupe. I know this must sound like a stupid question but what is the "proper" way to power shift. Slam the clutch slam the gear and leave your foot on the gas the whole time? I'm not trying to race my civic because i know theres no shoot in hell of me beating anyone worth while. Just in general question to get better shift times.

That suonds good, except that isnt a good idea for 2 reasons (that I know of).... I think you get better response if you lift the throttle a little bit, also our tansmission dont react that fast anyway. I'm not sure if that will break anything in the long run either.
ive been slamming my gears like that from about 5,000miles on my car...i now have 40,000miles on the car with no problem with the clutch, or synchros.
Honda did a good job on my car...
I dont really care about my synchros anyways anymore...im doin my swap in a couple months,
Cheers~
