b16a1 with hydro tranny
wuz ^ fam. im going to get a b16a. the problem is im going to go for boost after installin the motor. I have consulted a performance engine mechanic and he said that the cable tranny is not good for boost. So can I go and take the tranny off of the b16a2 and put it on the b16a1. Will there be any conflicts? thanx a lot for ur posts.

the tranny will work find in a boosted application. it's a hydraulic clutch, and is similar with just about every other stick shift car out there nowadays. i dont know what the guy who told you that was talkin about.
You would have to take the tranny from a B16A2 anyway because 94's are hydro trannys.
Unless you went with a mount kit to run a cable transmission. Reason people do this is its a lot cheaper to replace a cable tranny then a hydro one if you break it.
The gearing is basicly the same just the feel of the clutch is a lot different between the 2.
so id say get the b16A2 Tranny with a LS 5th gear should be pretty happy with that set up.
Enjoy your boost.
