Hey IndashMP3!!!!!
Actually, most LEDs that are out there emit a colored light Amber/Orage, Red, etc, from a CLEAR diode. You will not see any color until the LED turns on. If you don't know already, try a search on LED bulbs in these forums. I can verify that many of the statements made about LED bulbs not being bright enough are true....well....kind of: You see, an LED, no matter what kind, is EXTREMELY bright when looked at directly center. If you are looking at an LED bulb straight on, it will appear brighter than a standard bulb. But, have you ever looked closely at your lenses? You see the bright shiney reflectors in there? When you put an LED in your lens housing, the reflectors are useless, except for reflecting back the ambient light and drowning out the LED light in the daytime. Our lens housings are designed for standard bulbs. Take a look at one of the newer cars that have LED lights. (Caddy, BMW 7 Series, Infinity G35) Do you see any reflectors in there? I didn't think so.
Or, Finally, You could wait and purchase my omnidirectional LED's designed for Reflective Optics in our cars. I am currently developing these, and hope to begin testing soon.
I am interested in what your working on with the LED's
