spinning 180's

i've done 180's in a rearwheel drive car and was thinking of hitting some in my car sometime. so since the brakes are on the front i would have to hit the e-brake. i was wondering what would be a good speed to hit it at but not totally trash my e-brake?

honestly it's a bad idea. with a RWD car you can induce oversteer and "spin out" easily. FWD doesn't do that, and come on, it's a civic.

You didnt have breaks on the front of your other cars? They were only on the back? WTF were you driving?

Don't bother. I've tried it in all conditions. Dry pavement, pavement in heavy rain, snow, ice... etc. The only ones that you can induce a slide in are snow and ice (the snow pretty much has to have ice under it...). You don't have you e-brake on the ice, but it will help a LOT to get you into a tight rotation. Just don't be afraid to hold it and remember to let it go.

What's the deal with all these people wanting to make their car spin & lose control? Here's an idea....why not try jumping ramps with your car like "Smokey & The Bandit". I'll tell ya why you won't do that, cause it defies logic, that's why. Locking your brakes up so you can "spin" is only going to hurt the car in the long run & when something expensive goes out on the car because of it you'll be right back in here asking if anyone thinks you can get it replaced under your warranty. Just give the idea up & drive the car like it was intended to be driven & not like some $30,000 Trans Am.
