350Z vs... WTF?
Damn that was pretty tight!
I saw somethin similar, I think it was on Ripley's Believe it or Not.
They made a Viper race a F40 Fighter Jet....in the 1/4 mile or the mile. At a complete stop....even take off and everything, the Viper did lose but by less than a second. Even tho the Viper lost...I was like "DAIM"....a jet to a fawkin car....
So
to the 350Z and
to the Viper.. Joined: Dec 2001

Holy crap.... can we say GIANT custom turbo? I didn't think anyone would have their Z running 9's already.... much less modified with a roll cage and God knows what else?
Yeah, a Corvette will beat a jet off the line beause it takes a second for the turbines to get up to speed, but try racing a jet sling-shoted off a carrier.... vette has no chance in hell.
That 350Z is racing a Cessna 152. I give flight lessons in those airplane all the time. They have 160hp 4 cyl. (That's like the Geo metro of airplanes) His approch speed was probably 55 knots = 65-70 mph and once got the the 350Z he went full throttle. They cessa probably got up to 100 mph max. But That was a cool video
I don't think the Cessna was racing the Z, I think it was just taking video of it? I don't understand the racing planes and cars, totally different. Cessnas aren't that fast anyway.
I took a few lessons in Cessnas.... in Portland, ME... lots of fun,, definatly not fast though.
