Trading in 01LX for a........
Mini Cooper base + sport package, or a 2000 or newer used Mazda Miata?
what do u guys think?
Copper handles well, it's fun to drive, but it still has a single cam engine. I always love how BMW handle, and BMW made it.
For miata, it's a 2-seater, it's FR, and it has a twin cam engine
what would u guys choose? or any other realistic suggestion around this price? For used one, i dont want to get older then year 2000.....

Miata. Hands down. Coopers suck.
Slap a turbo (or a supercharger, both work well) on that car and go kick some ***. Or take it, bone stock, to a road course and kick a lot of cars around the track.

Rep Power: 0 civic coupe has so much room, every single person who sat in the backseat were amazed with the amount of legroom.. it's no brainer since it's a true 2+2 seating.
I'd find it hard to get used to a tiny cooper and a small miata, as an everyday car.

Rep Power: 0 and i dont really need more then 2 seats, because i have 5 cars at sitting at the lot now (2k1 civic LX, 2000 SIR, 2000 civic hatch back, 1999 impreza 2.5RS, and a GM Saffari(sp?)), when i really need more then 2 seats, i can just trade with my cousin for a day or 2.......

I myself would go for the Mini Cooper. I wouldnt get the base though, I would get the S. Invest the extra money in the car....Dont settle on the base because thats what you can afford. If you cant afford it now...save until you can. Dont settle, you will regret it.

Rep Power: 0 please, no miata, you might as well drive around a cabrio (in terms of image). i love the cooper S, but i couldn't see it as my only car. the red one with the big-*** white rims is sweet. and if you can get it brand new, mmmmmm BMW.

Rep Power: 0 Man some of you people that say the miata is horrible obviously have no taste for a beautifal car. The miata DEFINED the roadster and now you have all these other roadsters popping out for all over - mr2 spyder, s2000, blah blah blah, BUT Mazda's specialtly is handling and the Miata came first on a vs Mr2spyder on handling - given the mr2 has more power. But slap on one of the MANY MANY turbo/superchargers available (eg. flyingmiata.com) and you have u'reself not just a FAST car, but an incredible handling machine --> stock.

And I´m actually getting one, but I´m not getting rid of my civic yet (the car is 2 years old and looks like new, and used cars are so depreciated I´d rather keep the civic until it dies)
There are a few issues with the Mini though. The 02 models had several problems and recalls (supposedly fixed for the 03 model) and there is a LOOOONG waiting list in the US (takes about 4-6 months to get the car)
No comments on Miata, never seen one in detail, but I could recommend you a used BMW Z3, that´s a great roadster
And I´m actually getting one, but I´m not getting rid of my civic yet (the car is 2 years old and looks like new, and used cars are so depreciated I´d rather keep the civic until it dies)

Its a V6 but the car is heavy ...Plus i was told there is only really 150 hp at the wheels ..... But I like the styling and look of the car and thats the main reason I bought it ....
