definitly drift/auto-x

everyone and their mom can drag at a light, but not everyone can auto-x or drift

plus, auto-x and drifting seem to give cars with less power a better chance

if i had a FR car id practice drifting, but considering i dont i like doing 1/4 even though these cars arent that fast, even so i can still beat people localy and thats good enough for me. but hey, i still like pulling up the hand brake just like anyone else. my friends who dont race get a kick out of it too. one thing i did discover, i was going down a 1 lane road the other day looking for the fedex place going around 60 in a 35 zone, i came across it suddenly, turned and slammed on my brakes and for a minute there it seemed as if i was brake drifting into the parking lot. mabey im wrong, its cool to think i was though.

and the EG6 in initial d isnt drifting at all i dont think. he was using a special left foot breaking technique. which he could get more sensitivity out of the break pedal and still concentrate on the accelerator. by doing so he could lessen the rear load due to understeering

I'm not in the habit of pulling my e-brake going around turns, but it is quite fun to take them as fast as possible, and you can still get a bit of oversteer into a turn by lifting the throttle quickly and tapping the brakes, thats always fun. I definatly like the twisty mountain roads, if I was interested in drag racing, I certainly wouldn't have bought this car.

The only drifting I've done was in a S-10, for anyone who's driven those, they're "peel mobiles" anyway, when It was wet, I could drift like a **** in it, and it's easy on the tires...

AND DONT FLAME ME DAMNIT, ITS JUST A QUESTION!
i believe that was the Gumtape Death-Match!

and also, you dont necessarilly lose speed when you drift, if you know how to balance your car right. you lose traction and wear tires, but you dont have to slow down...

for me, its auto-X or rally...but some LeMans or F1 isnt bad either....love the long distance drives. NYC to Boston is one of the best drives if you dont hit traffic.

Breaking that joker loose in a curve is a bit more fun IMO. 1/4 mile I guess is safer but lacks the fun factor. I sold my old chevy pickup that I used to run awile back. It was fun for awile but the new wore off. I'll just stick with the curves.
