rumor has it that VW will release a Golf R32 to the US by 2004. the 4 door, 241hp, 3.2l, v6 with all-wheel drive will run $32,000. they say that because of the price tag, it will only be a 4 door model because americans tend to want to have functionality before spending that amount of money.

i have also heard it will have larger brakes and 17 inch wheels. not positive tho.

they had a w12 on display at the car show here in pittsburgh last year, and it looked like alot of engine to me. im not real good with all the technical stuff. it did look bad a$$ tho, i just wish it made more hp and it was like 41,000 or whatever it is for the passat w12.

the new Golf sounds nice. Except for that price, I'd prolly go with the new Evo VIII
