Numbers arent great but hey, they are for a movie. It wouldnt make a difference on film if they were using those cars or higher peformance cars. Besides, when it comes to drifing, its not about power, its about balance. Thats what Keichi Tsuchya tries to teach everybody.

no.no.no. Drift cars are made for balance and proper weight/handling. hp fihures start at 140/150 and go as high as the sky, but hp is not the key factor in drifting. balance, proper techniques and a whole lotta luck gets you to drift correctly.
tsuchiya-san started to do touge from which comes drifting. or the state of propelling around a corner as quickly as possible without sacrificing speed.
now read and learn: japanese pride themselves on their types of automotive sport, which are top speed runs down the high/freeway of japan. most cars are not primarily made for just drag. generally cars are made for alot of different things. from grip, touge, drift, shutoku (highway runs), time trials, and daily driver. 1/4 miles are of little concern for them, since there alot of other forms of racing that they enjoy.
we americans on the other hand like flat out drag cus of the open road, and mr. big d!ck competitions on the street scene.
you are no different than any of the ricers out there complaining about hp numbers.

Actually, "good" is not enough to describe the drivers. They do exist, though.

Why do you say no no no?
Those numbers are pretty low, cause the pro japanese drivers use cars with like 500 whp, at least the real good ones, and I would want to see a movie about the best. Some do not but the most famous do, you need a good amount of power to perform some drifts. Sure other things come into play and may be more important, but how can you argue that those numbers are not low?
I am a ricer because I am complaining about underpowerd cars being in a movie about top notch drifters.
Thinks for the lesson I really learned a lot. I had no idea that the japanese have pride i them selves, I mean who thought they had any honor?
And the japanese doent only do drag races, who knew?
Not sure what you meant by mentioning that americans enjoy drag, what are you dtrying to imply?
In fact I am not srue what your point was, cause you started talking about how drift cars are more than high hp monsters, and I already knew that. Did I ever say that? Why did you come off as such a jerk?

It's a movie! Movie, movie, movie! They build up the cars soooooo effin' much that they can't even push themselves to even do a 14 second run. I mean, they even have audio systems. You're not gonna make a track record with show props! Come on! Movie!!!!

first things first this is a movie. not anything more. second, your attempt at trying to sound like an authority on cars in general seems really childish.
i will answer your questions so please read.
1) Those numbers you mention are good enough for a movie, and the real world. if your gonna b!tch go somewhere else.
2) Do i really care about what you think
3) So americans dont prefer straight line performance over making left and right turns. Please explain NASCAR then, most popular redneck sport on the market today.
4) Your implied reponse was more than enough for my rebuttal
5) I'm planning on becoming a lawyer some day, contract law and litigation are my specialty.

i cannot believe there is going to be another fast n furious
