I know this has been mentioned before but..........

I was at the Autoway Honda dealer today in Clearwater FL, they have 4 Si Civics and 3 of them had a price of $14,999. I'm not kidding, when I talked to the saleman he said that they're not moving, and they're cheaper than a stock EX coupe.

Yup, the new SiR is not a hot seller. Honda was offering 4.9% financing on them as well.

Yea, I have heard the same thing too. No one is buying the new body design. See, in my opinion, the new Si would look good with a body kit, wing, and rims, but to drive it around without would be horrible.

The service guy at my dealer mae me take an si for a ride a few months ago...they had at least 10 on the lot and he said they can not sell them here. I did not like it when I drove it either. I liked two things on it 1) The seats were nice and comfy. 2) It had a tiny bit more power than mine but nothing huge. I disliked almost everything else. But honestly if they were 14,000 when i bought my ex I woudl of gotten the si. But it is all good cause I like my ex too

if they had an Ex coupe (and called it the Si) with the 160 hp engine and put some 17's and a lip kit on it....i guarantee it would sell like there's no tommorow...

they had no trouble selling the 99-00 Si's

I realize the SIs were originally hatches but Honda really fugged up this time with the hatch they should have stayed with the last gen hatch body style for the SIs or kept the coupe going with the new 7thgen style. They have a lot at the dealership here, they used to have them on order basis only but they arent selling as well as expected. I know why but i havent lloked at the price tag.

in my opinion, the 99-00 Si's (especially the Electric blue) were the best looking civics ever

I agree!! Someone here in our office building has a super clean one with no mods thats beautiful.

I can't believe I almost traded in my 02 EX coupe with 4000 miles on it for a new Si that was going for $18500, I have to thank my ex-wife for not making that mistake.

They have a Black one and White ones, I really liked the Si, but now I'm not so sure about how well that model will hold its value, plus if you totaled it in a accident I wonder how the insurance company would respond to replacing it. Because if they're that cheap you might be "upside down" in it after a accident. You could always buy gap insurance and not owe a dime, but you also wouldn't have a car.

What doesn't make sense? I'm just a smidge too tall to fit in the current SiR. If it didn't have the sunroof, I would be able to drive one.

Yeah they did my dealer is so embarassed about having them. But when I showed up to the dealer in July I was all think they will make these next year the guy was all oh yeah new body, new design, of course because these are going to really sell. I was all yeah uh huh. Now they will take about any offer I haven't even bothered to see what the price tag is running here.

Yeah no one was buying the last year of the hatch what makes them think people are going to buy the new SI in a Hatchback. HEHE I bet the person who designed the new SI has long been fired and is out the door HAHA

hmm, i hate dodge's and don't get me wrong, the new neon is pretty ugly, but man, it beat 7 other compacts (including the si, which sadly was beaten by all of the others... ) in all tests, and I think the coolest part is that the measured Torque and Hp were actually higher than Dodge claimed... man... I wouldn't rag on anyone who bought that car! I think it is worth the money...

during my lunch break this week I am going to Honda and see if I can straight trade my coupe for a brand new SI. I have 51,000 miles on it in 19 months. Lets see how desperate they are.I will off course offer to paint the bumpers and remove the decals, but hell NO they won't get my system.

I wonder if they are going to continue aftermarket production though. Will it be worth it in the long run?

Things that make you go Hmmmmm!

Hell payment at 14,000... I could afford 2 cars!!!!!!!!!!
