Who needs the RSX?
I saw the latest addition to the secret Saturn Race Division today, it was the great SC2 Type-S.
It was this black saturn, prob. 2000 or so, with a square dual exhaust tip (obviously the bumper-back kit) and a type-s badge on the back. Toyota and Pontiac, Dodge and Mitsubishi, and finally Honda and Saturn are teaming up to provide the ultimate driving experiences.
I sooo wish I had my camera....
i'm calling my dealer tomorrow to order one

the RSX is just an overpriced FWD civic with 200BHP, so I agree

Much agreed on the overpricing..it's still nowhere near as bad as the new Si's..Honda's really making people pay for the R&D costs on the I-Vtec's.. Funny though how a GSR handles better and is faster than an RSX Type-S stock.....hmmmm
Honda is just hoping the reputation sells the RSX... Look at what else is going...
Base RSX est. $19500
Other options with more power are...
VW GTi (180)
Focus SVT (170)
Mazdaspeed Protege (170)
Neon SRT-4 (215)
SE-R Spec V (175)
RSX Type-S est. $24000 (Moving out of compact land and into midsize sedan prices....)
Other possibilities:
WRX (227 + AWD)
Altima 3.5 SE
Accord V6 (240)
RSX-S FP est. @29500 (welcome to sports car land)
For a little more...
350Z Track (287)
S2000 (240)
Maxima SE (255)
upcoming RX-8 (250)
So basically Honda is lagging severely. I don't care if "It's a Honda" when you have a 20-80 HP disadvantage on the competition, you're not winning ****.... i-VTEC or not. They should have left the B Series in there and sold em cheap, or beefed up the engine to a point where it can play with other cars at that price. The only one that could be justified would be the base model. But the $29000 FP edition is BS. For 24 grand I can buy a WRX with a stock suspension that would run circles around the RSX FP. Or I can just buy a 350Z that has enough stuff to probably beat the pants off the WRX too. The RSX is just behind the time. Everyone else moved up, and it didn't. Might be the reason I've only seen 4 on the road.
