Dyno Sheet
This is my dyno sheet from a show we had recently. Can't pass up two pulls on the dyno for $20 right? Only mod to the car is a DCSports exhaust. I didn't take it up to redline so may have a pony or two left.
im not sayin you are lying, but something doesnt add up to me
if you have an ex, which has 127hp, and 114ft-lbs, then how does it make 118hp to the wheels, and 110ft-lbs? that would mean that there is only a 7% loss of hp through the drivetrain, and 3.5% loss on torque.....OR, our engines are underated and actually make more then 127hp (im not even really considering the exhaust, because that probably makes about 3-5hp TOPS)
nice run though! makes me think twice abuot the power the car has

If this graph is not touchup in any way (I'm not saying it is) I would say the dyno is not very accurate. Look where the HP and Torque curve intersect and it's not even at 5252rpm.

hey i dynoed my car when it was stock and i had 111 at the ground, forgot what the torque was but after i added on the injen cai only added +1 hp which made it to 112,
what also made it worse was when i put in some denso iridiums it -1 hp which then brought me back to 111 hp at the wheels.
so i hope that helps you guys out. 118 with just an exhuast on is pretty good.
dan.

If you look, the scales for horsepower and torque are different. Hence why they cross at different RPM.
Dynos are for tuning.
2k1CivicEX --- Thank you~

Its about time we saw some dyno figures. I don't want to get in the middle of anything, but I don't see any reason why he would have altered the dyno run, and I would trust that its accurate. Its also true that dynos are all different. The only way to check how much was gained would be to have made a run in the same session with the stock exhaust and same car. So it may have been high, but it's still nice to see! Thanks man!!!

Eh?! What part number were they? IK20? You're the first person who has said they didn't gain from them (assuming they were IK20's).

The forum cynics strike again.
What person would photoshop their HP figures from a meager 110HP to a meager 118HP?? Even if it was 113HP, would that change the whole world?

There are many things a person can bring up when talking about the accuracy of the numbers. Even more when you're talking about one that's obviously been in photoshop (got the pic and club name in there somehow right). Not every D17 rolls off the line with exactly 127 at the flywheel, not every 2K1 Civic will respond the exhaust the exact same and the list goes on and on even before we get to the accuracy of the dyno, air temp and humidity. Anyone ask me what my car puts to the ground and I'm saying 118, with a smile.

118 is a great deal with an exhaust...
look at the mid range torque! wow.
to be honest, if I were to get a dyno like that, I'd be like er.. this can't be right...
hey, thats awesome if its accurate though.
