K20's Going into Lotuses

K20A Lotus Swap

It looks like we have a little competition for these engines...

Also....
F20 FWD Conversion!
It is in the works to stuff this under the hood of a Lotus Elise... Which has a little 1.xL 4-banger in it.... It requires mating an F20 to a K20A(preferred due to LSD) or A2 tranny, thus making it FWD. As far as the rest of it.... I guess they're working on it.

I think that company used to use Integra Type-R motors in the past.. I believe SCC mag did a feature on them. Type-R powered Lotus vs Mustang Cobra R.... Lotus won.

Lotus never used a honda engine. the whole reason for that swap is so that they could bring in the Elise into the US legally. the way its set up in europe it does not meet US regulations. the good thing with the swap is that the honda motor is actually more powerful, so the Lotus benefits.
that car is craaaaaaazy!!

Then run some forced induction or buy a domestic muscle car that redlines at 5500 rpm. It is not physically possible to have an engine that revs really high and has tons of torque. With a 9000 rpm, who needs low end torque anyways. Just rev that thing up and hear the engine roar.
