New WRX front end
I just saw this pic and read the little article and I figured 'd share it since I hadn't seen it here yet.
"BREAKING NEWS.....
THE WRX THEY SHOULD HAVE DONE IN THE FIRST PLACE!
MORE THAN JUST A NIP AND A TUCK...
RADICAL COSMETIC REHASH SURE TO WREAK HAVOC
Could this significant headlight and bumper restyling be admission that Subaru might have not quite got it right the first time? We think so. But whether you approve - or don't - of the new look Impreza, don't be surprised if thousands of disillusioned Scooby fans around the planet find themselves being strangely drawn back into Subaru showrooms by early 2003.
We thought we'd put two and two together and give Apex loyalists a sneak peek at the facelifted WRX, due to debut at the Paris Auto Salon on September 26. Our drawing is a compilation of the most reliable scoop efforts from the latest issues of Japan's BEST CAR and XACAR magazines, plus a comment or two from Subaru insiders.
Be warned...while we expect some subtle differences around the bumper and airdam, the headlights WILL look like this. Japan's most influential mags assure us."

i dunno. from the acticle picture it looks too steep?(pointing downward too much) i actually like the current design compared to that new one.
and what's with the EVO?? looks like a pontiac front end. and what;s with that spoiler?? i love the EVO and its what i'm working towards..but if its gonna look like that i mihgt start lookin elsewhere.

My dad told me that he read the WRX wasn't selling well in overseas markets so they decided to do a facelift. Unfortunately, I think it has lost its individuality. They should have only changed them for the markets in which they weren't selling well. I like the old style WRXs more. Now it looks like the mix between a 4dr Accord and a Lancer. Not that either are bad cars, but the WRX had better, more distinctive styling IMO.

nice! i thought the current headlights were ok, but i def. like the new ones better. i think they just flow better with the rest of the lines of the car. the new taillights are a whole different thing...i think the altezza look is a bad move on their part.
i still think the previous version, the one before the round headlights, was the best one so far. im hoping they go back to something remeniscent of that in the future.
