once they find a way to fine tune it for cars, man, will those thing ever have some serious f'in power to them!!! for those of you that aren't familiar with the technology, it comines Hydrogen and Oxygen creating a boom instead of gasoline.... H2 and O2, might I add, is the same fuel used to launch the space shuttle

Rep Power: 0 My car is fast as hay in my mind. I find it to be quite spritely for a ulev and the gas mileage it gets. I love my lil'vic and just smile when a fast car is next to me. I very rarely race and when I do, it is always aganst another civic or economy compact. I do like to make the v8 guys smile though.

Rep Power: 0 It's fast enough for me, the only time it dosen't seem like it can go as fast as I want to, is when punks with rsx type-s's try and race me. As for this: "You bought a civic not a RSX or a WRX or a 350Z you bought a Civic!" Maybe that's because I don't have the extra 7 grand for a RSX type-s or the base model WRX or the 17 grand for the good 350Z. I'm pretty damn sure that I can take damn near every car that was bought new, from the same class of cars, for the same price. Bang for the buck is all it is. 6th Generations weren't any faster than 7th's are, and the 5th's are running 12's with $5000 of mods, albeit one of them is an engine swap, that's not too shabby. The people that b itch about our car's being slow are just wasting space on the boards, it's not something that needs to be addressed, you're stating the obvious, there are like a million of these threads, why don't you just make another "when are they gonna make a turbo/super charger thread."

People buy older Civics to go fast cuz they can be made to go faster. We've got nothin now except bolt-on mods and an engine swap that's out of range for most of our budges and some of our interests. But with other cars that come fresh out the factory with performance embedded under the hood... at least you can say it's quick and you can make it quicker.
Guys are just more into performance, we know it. We want a fast car that looks good and it ended up not being as easy as it looked since Honda put their B-series engines down in history. I like to think of our cars as nothing but eggs waiting to be hatched into something real cuz our D-blocks hardly bring us anything.
Still, I think anyones car can be fast if you dedicate a lil more money into it for more stuff other than i/h/e.

I think people are complaining because they do mods that don't really do too much. Changing the exhaust doesn't help too much, you're not going to get a 10 HP increase. Intake's and headers same thing. If you were to drop 3k on a turbo or reworking the pistons, bore, cams, etc., you'd see a notable change.
Is that a rip off? Not really. I paid $13k for my 2k2 new. +3k = 16k. So you'd have a 16k car doing 160hp. Pretty good in my opinion.
